“A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.” Proverbs‬ ‭19:11‬

It is  to one’s glory to overlook an offense. Which is rendered “When someone wrongs you, it is a great virtue to ignore it.” Proverbs‬ ‭19:11‬ ‭

Unfortunately we have not learnt to overlook offenses. These days we don’t have to look hard to find an offended Christian. When we refuse to retaliate or seek revenge, we are liberating ourselves. Offenses have a serious imprisoning effect. Remember; offense affects the one who carries it more than the other.

Learn  to let it go and  to not bring it up again. It is not overlooking the offense if you  keep it away and use it as a weapon  it to get even at a later time. Overlooking a wrong done to oneself is a sign of maturity and grace. It means we are willing to forgive and trust the might God to deal with matters. Let love and wisdom lead you refuse to be a slave to offenses. How is your heart? Are you free of offenses ? Are you nursing a grudge? Being easily offended is a great ingredient to loneliness. Free yourself let go and let God.
