Have you ever had moments when God seemed distant and disinterested? Have you ever wondered why an all powerful all knowing and almighty God allows bad things to happen ? If this has been your experience at some point you are not alone.
The psalmist at one time asked;"Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time? Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?” Psalms 77:8-9
What then is the answer you may ask. What about the following words from Habakkuk?
Just like with the Covid 19 situation life presents challenges. Challenges so tempting we may think God is indifferent. Here is how Habakuk turned around; “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.” Habakkuk 3:17-18
Solution: Choose to keep your joy intact. How so? God is at work and will always be at work. He keeps those who trust In Him. The ultimate victory was won. ““I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
All we do is rest in the assurance that God remains good regardless of what we go through. His love endures forever.
