Truth

“Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain? ......., who speaks the truth from their heart;” Psalm‬ ‭15:1-2‬

It is common temptation for people to be untruthful, but God expects those who He has called into fellowship with Him to be truthful.

We usually associate speaking with the words and the mouth, but here we are pointed to the heart. Words are an external expression of an internal condition.

Our candidature for kingdom presence is here associated with speaking the truth. Truth honors God. Truth builds others up. Truth can be costly. Strive to be truthful regardless of the cost.
