Serve Others Serve Jesus

“In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (in Greek her name is Dorcas); she was always doing good and helping the poor.” Acts‬ ‭9:36‬ ‭

Tabitha was always good and helping the poor. What is your reaction to those who do not have what you have? Such people present us with opportunity to be generous and God like. Hers was faith in action. Remember the rhetoric in the book of James: Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?” James‬ ‭2:15-16‬ ‭

When we see a need we should learn to see opportunity to serve Christ who says ““Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’”Matthew‬ ‭25:45‬. It is ministry to the Lord when we help the needy. When was the last time you minsitered to the Lord in this way?
