But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.“Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭31‬ ‭
”But Jehoshaphat also said to the king of Israel, “First seek the counsel of the Lord.”1 Kings‬ ‭22‬:‭5‬

These two verses from 1 Kings and Luke emphasize the importance of making seeking God a priority in our lives. In 1 Kings Jehoshaphat advises the king of Israel to seek the counsel of the Lord before making a decision, highlighting the significance of seeking divine guidance in all aspects of life. This verse underscores the belief that putting God first in our decision-making process can lead to wisdom, discernment, and ultimately, the best outcomes. Luke 12:31, Jesus teaches us to prioritize seeking God's kingdom above all else, promising that when we do so, our other needs will be provided for. When we prioritize our relationship with God and seek to align our lives with His purposes, we will experience His provision and care in all aspects of our lives.

Making God a priority in our lives is crucial because it acknowledges our dependence on Him as our Creator and sustainer. Placing God at the center of our lives allows us to align our desires and decisions with His will, leading to a life of purpose, fulfillment, and divine provision. When we seek God first, we acknowledge His lordship over our lives and invite His guidance, wisdom, and provision into every area of our existence. Making God a priority is not only a source of strength and guidance, but it also brings about a deep sense of fulfillment and purpose as we align our lives with His divine plan.
