Seeking God #1

"You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water." Psalm 63:1 (NIV), 

Welcome to a new week. A new month is already knocking at our doors. How fast. Today’s verse beautifully shows  the deep longing and earnest desire for a close and intimate relationship with God. It portrays a sense of spiritual hunger and thirst that goes beyond physical needs, demonstrating a profound yearning for the presence of God in one's life. To seek God earnestly implies a deliberate and persistent pursuit of a deeper connection with Him, acknowledging that true fulfillment and satisfaction are found in God alone.

The imagery of a dry and parched land where there is no water vividly portrays the spiritual desolation and emptiness that can be experienced when one feels distant from God. This verse reminds us that in the midst of life's challenges and in the face of spiritual dryness, our ultimate source of sustenance and renewal is found in God.
