Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord.” Proverbs 23:17
This proverb reminded me of the son of Asaph’s words. “But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold. For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. He thought Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure and have washed my hands in innocence.” Psalms 73:2-3, 13
At times in this life as we look at the godless and compare their way of life with our seemingly tough circumstances, we ask the cost-benefit question: Are the benefits of following Christ really worth it? When life seems unfair, you feel depressed, and you feel like you’re being righteous with not just reward remember “God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love.”
Continue and fear of God. His eyes are on you His love is unlimited. You are His precious creation.
