Every person has a given name. Besides the given name we all make a name for ourselves by living in a particular way. In today’s proverb we are told the righteous name is used in blessings. When a righteous person’s name is remembered in life or death it must bring good memories.

In view of this we are reminded that a good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold. 22:1.
