Proverb A Day

“If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer.” Proverbs 9:12 

In the ninth proverb both wisdom and folly are personified. Each one is inviting people to her ways. Wisdom’s invitation is  to acknowledge God and live long. “For through wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life.” Folly does want not anyone to listen to God’s instruction, and live. 

We have a choice to follow God’s wisdom. Ultimately it’s about Christ. He is the wisdom of God. Through Him we grow wiser each day. “but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.”?1 Cor 1:24.
