Prayer And Obedience

If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, even their prayers are detestable.” Proverbs 28:9 

 Obedience can be called prayer’s faithfull partner. We can not walk in disobedience and expect our prayers to be heard. Spiritual disciplines are never effective in isolation, everything starts with walking in submission to the rest of God’s word. 

 An obedient life brings intimacy with God. Unquestioning obedience counts much in the sight of God. He cherishes those who hold His instruction in High regard. Many prayers have gone unheard because the praying person may be  ignoring the instructions of God. God cannot ignore the prayers of the obedient. 

Remember the Christian faith is not a substitution faith, in others words you can not replace what you don’t do by what you overdo. Continue to walk in obedience as you call in Him.
