“Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved human praise more than praise from God.”

John 12:42-43

As the week progressed Jesus continued to teach and questioning continued some begun to belive. Unfortunately some would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved human praise more than praise from God. This is one of the things that have stood in the way of faith: love for human praise.

Political correctness they call it. It has led to a watered down crossless gospel in some instances. In such circumstances

  • convinience is considered before conviction.
  • comfort is considered above committment.

The gospel is a source of life. A personal experience with a public impact. Don't allow human recognition to ruin your divine revelation. We are not called to be technically right but to be spiritually righteous. Live for Him .
