Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no ffenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come! Luke 17:1

Ofenses do come in thins life. Jesus in this verse teaches His disciples that offences are a part of lives. Where there are relationships they is bound to be disappointments because of expectations. When offenses come through people we love and trust the chances of staying in the state of being hurts are high because wit people close to us we expect more and better. Such offences can be heaver and hinder our ability to relate and receive love from brethren.

According to John Bevere When we filter everything through past hurts, rejections, and experiences, we find it impossible to believe God. We cannot believe He means what He says. We doubt His goodness and faithfulness since we judge Him by the standards set by man in our lives

If it is not dealt with, offense will eventually lead to resentment which can lead to spiritual death death. But when you resist the temptation to be offended, God brings great victory. Forgive let go and let God. Offences are toxic to the inner man. Staying offended opens the door to the enemy and closes the it on God. Walk in love because according to His word love covers a multitude of sins.
