Loving for a reason

We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.” 1 John‬ ‭4:19-20‬

We love because He first loved us. He saved and sanctified us to reflect Him through our deeds. We can not claim to truly love God if we do not love those around us. What this verse implies is that we love on behalf of God.

Love is not measured by what we profess but by what we practice. For those who truly love God, loving others is not a choice but a command. Remember the words of Jesus. “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John‬ ‭13:35‬.

Love as God has commanded.
