Knowing God

But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the LORD who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the LORD, have spoken! Jeremiah 9:24.

Anyone who is honest will admit that admit that we all are prone to blowing our own trumpets at times. God hates pride but.  He who does not want us to be proud here encourages us to boast in Him. We are given a Biblical mandate on what we need  to boast about and what we need to be thankful for. We can boast and be thankful that we know and understand God.

Yesterday In our service we were reminded that there is no replacement for our relationship with our God. In that relationship, we have all we need for this life and for godliness. It would serve you well and certainly it would serve some eternal purposes, if we choose to rejoice in our knowledge of God. There is much found in this relationship with God it is worthy your all, it is something never to be ashamed of.
