All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.”

The ancients were strengthened by the ability of God. Their steadfast faith was based their belief in the ability of God. This is why we are told “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Heb‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭

In this life “.. we live by faith, not by sight.” 2 Cor‬ ‭5:7‬. Our trust should remain in God. Faith in Christ, is an ingredient required for stability in God because He never fails. Keep on keeping on God is faithful. I remember reading this quote from one devotional:”A life of faith is a life that lives in the measure of its relationship with God, and in accordance with His will and His desires. “
