Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.” Psalm 37:3
Surrounded by injustice and corruption and tempted to envy the wicked, the Psalmist comes to a noble conclusion. Trusting God is the only way of leaving matters in the capable hands of God and concentrating on doing good. God rewards those who trust Him and do good. “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” 2 Chronicles 16:9.
Hoping in God and trusting Him is never a vain thing. His character speaks to the fact that he can be trusted. God is not like men, who lie; He is not a human who changes his mind. Whatever he promises, he does; He speaks, and it is done.” Num 23:19.
