“My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn.” Psalms 57:7-8
This Psalm is associated with the time David went into the cave running away from Saul. I like his confession. My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. David was not about to change His view of God because of what he was going through.
“Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. ….” Phil 1:27. And remember to “keep yourself in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.” Jude 1:21. “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. ….” 1 Cor 15:58. Never allow anything to chase you away from God if anything whatever comes your way must live you closer to God firmly rooted and trusting.
