“No one can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for them— the ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough— so that they should live on forever and not see decay.” Psalms‬ ‭49‬:‭7‬-‭9‬ ‭

In this world there will never be
redemption from any other source. Further down the Psalm we read: “But God will redeem me from the realm of the dead; he will surely take me to himself.” Psalms‬ ‭49‬:‭15‬. True redemption is from God the father of light in Him there is no shadow of turning.

For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors. 1 Peter 1:18. Let us trust our Lord and refuse to trust the material for our salvation. We were bought back to god because our Lord submitted to death of His own free will. His voluntary submission to His enemy fulfilled the promises and prophecies of scripture because by being the Will sufferer He became the willing savior.
