“Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain?” Psalms 15:1

What kind of a person qualifies for the presence of God? What a question. Literally, the question asks who may dwell in the Lord’s tent or His tabernacle. The tabernacle was considered to be the dwelling place of the Lord.“However, the Most High does not live in houses made by human hands. …:”Acts 7:48. The tabernacle represented the presence of God. The subsequent verses help us have a better picture of what is required of someone who would abide in God’s presence.

Abiding in God’s presence entails being careful in our conduct, our conversations, our company and our commerce.  Act on these according to God’s standards because; “ ….. Whoever does these things will never be shaken.” Psalms 15:5. Living right is important to abiding in God’s presence. This must be our goal so that we can have such confidence before God.
