Why, Lord, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?” Psalms‬ ‭10‬:‭1‬ ‭

“You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,” Psalms‬ ‭10‬:‭17‬ ‭

The above verses represent confessions from the same person spoken in the same vein. At times we see God as being divorced from the affairs of our lives. This happens only when we look at things from a single angle. A deep look at life and the happenings of life will show us that God is never away from His people.

The pain of the moment can give us a limited view of God. Look at how Jeremiah had a great turnaround. “I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall. I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me. Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.” Lam 3‬:‭19‬-‭22‬ ‭
