Journey Through Psalms

“Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him.” Psalms‬ ‭4‬:‭3‬ ‭

God is committed to those who trust Him. “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”2 Chron‬ ‭16:9‬. In His commitment He sets them apart and treats them with grace. The Lord makes a distinction between His people and unbelievers. The apostle Paul writes in 2 Timothy 2:19: "'The Lord knows those who are his,' and 'Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”

The proof of God’s commitment is made clear by the apostle Paul again; “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭32‬. Because of His commitment God hears when His people call to Him.
