Journey Through Psalms

“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,” Psalms‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬ ‭

 It matters who you closely associate with. There is what is called the power of association, the company you keep affects the person you become. This is why the psalmist is pointing to the blessing of avoiding bad company. Paul reinforces this belief by writing; “Don’t be deceived, bad company corrupts good character.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭33. And in Proverbs we are told: Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm. Prov 13:20 

In this life we all need close associates. It will be prudent to ensure that those that you intimately associate with are godly associates. Godly associations are a gift from God a gift that will help us to live God’s way in God’s world for God’s glory. Love everyone live with everyone but being into your close circles people that will help your faith grow.
