God At Work In You

for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” Philippians‬ ‭2:13‬

In this world that has a win win transaction based mindset some of us feel may feel that we should be “doing” more to be acceptable to God. The truth is that we are made acceptable to God through our faith in Jesus (see Ephesians 2:4–8).

God is at work in our lives not because of who we are but because of who He is. God is love and our of Him flows that grace that makes us to be who we are in Him. This is what Paul means when he says God is at work to will and to do good. All his outworking is for our good. We need to continually remind ourselves that God is good and that He does good.
