“Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” 1 Peter‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭

Before Christ we were not a people but now that we are born of God the story has become different. We are the people of God, His own artwork created by grace in Christ, precious in His eyes. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Cor‬ ‭5:17‬.

Since we are new in Him having been made His own through salvation we know that we ought to:
- believe in Him and enjoy His sure promises.
- belong to Him and stay in His faithful presence.
- behave like Him and be His true ambassadors.
You are born of God. “... everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”1 John‬ ‭5:4‬ ‭
