So watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.” Luke 17:3-4
Wherever there are two or more people offenses are bound to be present. Offenses will come … what you do with them will determine how you live. The best is to forgive. Unforgiveness robs people of their friendships, it steals their joy, it keeps them focused on the past, it draws out their energy. Many believers live in a prison of unforgiveness at times even when the offender has repented the offended still hold onto the offense.
Unforgiveness is a trap of the devil that has destroyed many. Don't fall into that trap. Let God be your avenger let Him fight your battle He says in Romans 12:9 "Friends, do not avenge yourselves; instead, leave room for God's wrath, because it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord" all you need to do is forgive. Forgiveness means you are releasing your offenses and the offender to God.
