“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:16-18‬ ‭

For the early church, because of the challenges of life the likelihood of being discouraged were huge. In the verse above Paul refuses to give in to challenges by keeping His eyes on the Lord. He sees the physical affliction as an opportunity for spiritual growth.

The more we look to the Lord in faith the stronger we grow in the middle of a crisis. Our eyes must be fixed on Him. “I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalms‬ ‭121:1-2‬

He is a good and faithful God. Keep trusting Him.
