How long Lord. This is a prayer of a person who has been expectant and it seems God is nowhere near. When tragedy strikes and it looks like God does not care people do wonder. In times of crisis like these people are either driven away from God or drawn to Him. Others are either hardened in their hearts or while others softened as they run to the Lord for help and hope.

The truth is “Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love. For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone.” Lamentations‬ ‭3:32-33‬.

It matters how we understand our God. He is loving and will never bring disaster on His people. He is our shelter our refuge our strength.
