DAY 41 BE STRONG – SURRENDER TO HIM

Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” As it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes. All such boasting is evil.” James 4:15-16   

In the advent of declarations and sloganeering we have credited our success to human efforts and scheming. We tend to forget that apart from Him we can do nothing. To us belongs all the planning but success comes from the Lord. It is in this light that we ought to submit to God understanding that we owe it to Him. Life is a gift from God for which we ought to be thankful. Life’s accomplishments are a product of God’s will as He allows our plans to prosper. So going into a new year is a gift from the Lord. Commit to Him in prayer. Whatever you plan to do, understand that remains sovereign only His purposes will prevail. He has good plans for you to give you a good future.  Your destiny is in the hands of God. Seek to help walk closer to Him to know His will and obey His word with diligence. Your future is in the great God of Man. Seek Him First.  Avoid slogans without sincerity and declarations without dedication. All you need is Him. He is the one in charge of today and tomorrow. Every New Year is a blank cheque. Watch how you fill it in.
