DAY 31 BE STRONG – HE HAS OVERCOME

In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33  

One author once said, “If one seeks a problem-free life, he is looking for an impossible dream.”[1] We cannot guarantee a problem-free life but what we can ensure is strength from the Lord.  The same Lord says to us, in this world, you will have trouble, but take heart, for I have overcome the world. The same Lord does not promise to keep us from trouble, but He promises to be with us in times of trouble. When we go through the fire, He will be the fourth man in the fire. When we have been thrown into the den of lions, He will shut the mouths of the lions. When the enemy comes like a flood, He will raise a standard. As Paul says, daily we are like sheep that are being led to the slaughter but be strong, take heart, if He overcame; He gives us the strength to overcome. We shall surely overcome and be victorious.

POWER THOUGHT OF THE DAY Like the purifying of gold, the process is not pleasant but the product is always glorious.
