Day 3 2020

I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalms‬ ‭121:1-2‬ ‭

In Israel whenever a King was in trouble the tendency was to look to the kings around for help. These neighbors would send in the form of armies that would occupy strategic positions along the mountains. From such strategic positions it was easy to see the movements and enemies and know what to do.

Instead of trusting the help of other nations and theirs armies the psalmist chooses to trust God. God is an ever-present Help in times of need. Those who trust Him find Hope and comfort in His power and presence. You y too child of God can trust Him. He is a faithful God worthy of all trust. In this New Year, be steadfast and hold on to the Lord.
