DAY 13 BE STRONG - HAVE WAITING FAITH

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord Psalms 27:14   Being strong may entail being able to trust and waiting on the Lord. The strength of waiting and taking heart in the face of challenges comes from having strong faith in the Lord. Strong and waiting faith is characterised by three things that were noticeable in the faith of Abraham.  Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be” Romans 4:18. His faith was -         Believing faith - he believed what God had said. -         Hoping faith - he hoped against all hope.  -         Trusting faith- looked beyond human possibility. The above kind of faith is all we need to develop in waiting for the Lord. Because of Sarah’s proposal, Abraham did falter, but still, he was a man strong enough to wait on the Lord. Faith does not need to see, it is just trusting God without seeing.

POWER THOUGHT OF THE DAY   The strength of faith is in the trustworthiness of the object of that faith. The object of our faith is God.
