Be very strong; be careful to obey all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, without turning aside to the right or the left.  Josh 23:6

In the face of challenges, the temptation to compromise certain truths to keep “abreast” with challenges is very real. I can tell you that I have had to make conscious decisions to refrain from certain practices that would “HELP” and remain focused and obedient to God’s word. The options on the other side of the path of righteousness may be good, but good is not always Godly. Partial or selective obedience of the word is a common practice among Christians for purposes of convenience. If an opponent succeeds in breaking your focus, they have succeeded in weakening your efforts. Divided attention is the best way to break the strength of any army. To remain focused is to remain strong in battle. Keep focused on the straight and narrow way of God and you will remain strong. Be strong and stand in the word, going neither to the left nor the right. “Consider these words and be strong; Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze is straight before you.” Prov 4:25.
