“Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.” Exodus 14:13

Israel had an enemy behind and the Red Sea in front, with impassable mountains on both sides. Talk about being cornered, leading to fearfulness. In fear they wept and begun to imagine the worst but, Moses answered them and said, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you....” 

I don’t like it when I have no control. I tend to feel inadequate and helpless. How many out there are like me in this sense? Hemmed in by potential threats, the child of God can still stand firm. The threats can be God’s opportunity to show Himself strong on behalf of His own . Resist the desire to always want to be in control, trust God and stand firm. Do not let the outlook inhibit your up-look.
