Church Unity 1 

As God’s children, it's essential to recognize the importance of upholding unity within the church. In Ephesians 4:3, the apostle Paul urges us to "make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." This verse reminds us that unity is not just a passive state of being, but rather an active effort that each individual believer is called to make. Unity within the church reflects the unity of the Spirit, and it is our responsibility to nurture and maintain this precious bond. When we actively seek unity, we demonstrate our love and reverence for God, and we create an environment where His love and presence can flourish among us.

You and I as God’s people play an important role in upholding unity in the church. It is not enough to simply expect others to maintain unity; we must take personal responsibility for our attitudes, actions, and interactions within the body of believers. By actively pursuing unity, we align ourselves with God's heart for His church and contribute to the beauty and effectiveness of the body. Let's remember that each of us has a part to play in upholding church unity, and let's commit ourselves to making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace, as we are called to do in Ephesians 4:3.
