“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.”Romans 12:9
it is common in this life to try to control and manipulate others’ perception of us by presenting to them what we think they must see in us. Jeremiah sates that: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” Sincerity important to all of us because it helps to build trust with each otherand to be true to God and others both in public and private. our faith and relationship must be deep and sincere in order to please God. “Blessed is the man . in whose spirit there is no deceit” Psalm 32:2
Even in prayer it is clear that God does not want us to play with words so that we sound good and impressive . He wants sincerity. The type spiritual activity that pleases God comes from a sincere heart. God delights when truth reigns in our inmost being. We cannot really be true to ourselves without Jesus reigning in our hearts. In christ we are made true and inner convictions align with our outer actions.
