Day 44/20202

So Jehu destroyed Baal worship in Israel. However, he did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit—the worship of the golden calves at Bethel and Dan.”

‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭10:28-29‬

Never neglect your personal relationship with God in the process of serving Him. Jehu earlier on this chapter has summoned others  saying  “Jehu said, “Come with me and see my zeal for the Lord.” 2 Kings‬ ‭10:16‬.

Those who live with Jehu concluded that Jehu was in love with the Lord sadly; “...Jehu was not careful to keep the law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam, which he had caused Israel to commit.” 2 Kings‬ ‭10:31‬.

In our walk with God what we do is not more important than who we are. Personal relationship with God is as important as service to God. Remember “... The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”” 1 Sam‬ ‭16:7‬.

Keep shining for God both in public and in private.
