BALANCE

Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone. Luke‬ ‭11:42

The earnest adherence and obedience to one major doctrinal truth does not negate the need to other areas. We can become legalist when we become single issue believers. These are believers who  want to focus on something that they like the most, something the enjoy the most to the neglect of yen common grace that we all share. The Pharisees neglected justice and the love of God. We must never be drowned in religion to the neglect of the need to be conscious of others and God Himself.

God expects us to have a balanced view and practice of His word. How is your faith? Are you obeying the full counsel of God? Do you look for excuses to not obey certain truths of the word? “ So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven.” Mt 5:19. May God take possession of your heart so that His salvation my be your life guiding you to complete surrender.
